Meet Founder and Lead Therapist - Laura

My path through life has been anything but ordinary.

At times, it feels as though I have lived several different lives within one. Perhaps that, too, is a reflection of our time—the extraordinary speed.

Career & Degrees

For almost 20 years, I spent building a career working in executive leadership and experiencing first-hand the demands, pressure, and responsibility that come with need for high performance and managing of large teams. I also believed that living under constant pressure was the real life everyone should be striving for. I lived at an extraordinary pace and became accustomed to achieving whatever I set my mind to. I believed that success was built by constantly raising the bar—for myself and for those around me. (Bar raising instinct has never left me, thou.) Alongside my corporate career, I earned a Master’s degree in Economics and Engineering.

Karma Yoga - Where I Started

Alongside that journey, and partly to keep my sanity, I began studying yoga science, starting with Karma Yoga and its profound exploration of cause and effect.

My yoga journey began in 2001 (when there was no widespread internet or even a decent emailing system), when an older friend of mine brought me to my very first lecture on Yoga Science.

Iyengar Yoga

Then, after leaving the corporate world and my other business ventures, I decided to broaden my yoga studies through training in Iyengar Yoga. The training took place in Bali, led by teachers from the US, as were the majority of the 35 students. Somewhat surprisingly, after more than ten years of being deeply immersed in yoga, it was there that I came to realise that 99% of people think of yoga primarily as a physical discipline.

What fascinated me most during that training, however, was discovering just how profoundly the physical body could influence the mind.

I was genuinely astonished by what a single week of “chest openers” (asanas designed to create space in the chest area) could do to a person’s emotional state, I cried like a baby.. everyone did. It seemed to come out of nowhere, and yet it felt like a warm release.

Yoga Therapy — Connecting the Pieces

After my Iyengar Yoga training, I realised that I wasn’t particularly interested in mastering headstands—or any advanced poses, for that matter. What I wanted was to understand the relationship between the body and mind more deeply. I wanted to know why something as seemingly simple as chest-opening postures could affect our emotional state so profoundly. It felt like they lowered an invisible barrier that we keep around ourselves.

That curiosity led me to study Yoga Therapy with a medical doctor, bringing together the ancient science of yoga with a modern medical understanding of the human body. I remain deeply grateful to my dear teacher, Ji Vikas Clothe (India’s Yoga Ministry of AYUSH) for all the knowledge he gave me, as I would never have discovered my path in Yoga Therapy without him.

The Meditation Quest

When I was ten, I accidentally came across a magazine explaining meditation. For a while, I practised every night before sleep, until one evening I experienced the complete loss of bodily sensation. It frightened me, and I stopped. Almost twenty years later, I became curious about meditation again. I explored different teachers, trainings and books, yet something always felt superficial. Simply sitting in silence did not feel like meditation to me.

It took me almost a decade of searching to finally find a teacher who could reveal to me what true meditation really is. When I finally found my Meditation teacher Ji GuruMukh, I was shocked once again. True meditation leads to a world beyond the mind, outside the boundaries of what our senses can comprehend. Time disappears, the senses withdraw, and the familiar perception of everything begins to dissolve. I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to have been taught this knowledge and, today, to be able to bring it into my private work with clients.

Ayurveda: Understanding the Physical Realm

Ayurveda is another interesting story. At one point, I somehow gained so much extra weight that taking stairs to the third floor made me short of breath. I turned to Ayurveda looking for answers—and curiosity became study. I learned traditional Ayurvedic detoxification methods and began to understand the five elements from which, both the human body and the natural world are composed. What fascinated me most was discovering why there is no universally “healthy” way of eating. The same salad and crackers eaten every day may support weight loss and a sense of lightness in one person, while leaving another feeling depleted, restless or increasingly anxious. The question is not simply “Is this food healthy?” but rather, “Is it right for this particular person?” I cannot imagine understanding the body fully without this perspective. It taught me, just as Yoga Therapy later, that true wellbeing begins with understanding the individual.

Sound Healing — Understanding Vibration & Resonance

During the most demanding years of my career, sound therapy was the one practice I could still find the energy for. I didn’t need to achieve anything or even try—I could simply receive. And in that experience, my love for sound was born, along with the understanding that sometimes, simply receiving is all a person has the capacity for. I carry that understanding with me every time someone comes to me looking for a way through a difficult period in life. I started collecting bowl-type gongs almost 15 years ago, long before I knew where that fascination would lead. Over time, the right teachers appeared, eventually guiding me into the deeper study and practice of Sound Therapy.

Kriya Yoga — The Hidden Knowledge That Came My Way Just Reacently

Kriya belongs to the realm of mystery. An ancient and highly refined practice, it works with breath, energy and awareness as a kind of fast track into the deeper dimensions of life itself, addressing the underlying causes of suffering rather than simply its manifestations. Kriya means “action” or “a conscious inner action”—a precise process through which one works with the body, breath, mind and energy to create inner transformation. It is not something easily explained intellectually; it has to be experienced. I call it BODY-MIND detox system.

Today, I bring all of these worlds, knowledge and experiences together

I work privately with entrepreneurs, executives and individuals with demanding lives, offering a highly personalised approach to restoring health, resilience, mental clarity, focus and inner balance. Rooted in Yoga Therapy, my work addresses the whole person—outer and inner state. Every programme is tailored to you: your body, mind, circumstances and where you are and where you want to be in life. Because, just like a fine suit, true personalisation requires tailoring.

This point is where all my seemingly separate lives come together—bringing a depth, perspective and value to my work that no single path could ever have given me.
